Thanks for your post and tel number (you'll be sorry as I will wreck your head
no honestly, thanks). I daresay I will contact you in the near future with any floristry queries. As for the real Lulu (can't sing, and a little darker in complexion!) and as for Cilla wouldn't wish her TEETH on my worst enemy and the her hair colour wouldn't suit me! - having said that I'd love her money - but I don't do Scottie Road or Gracie Market - just don't have the time and I am not that brave!. Just replying now ( I am really supposed to be leaving instructions for me mam as I am packing for me and the little one - where off to Disney Paris on Monday!) dreading the flight and the cold, but looking forward to the break! Hope you are extra busy in the shop over this festive period and that you manage to have a little wind down period as well. Happy Christmas, Loopey Lulu ![]() |

I'm about to complete NCF advanced but it's been hardwork but i'm glad i put myself in at the deep end- doing something totally out of the comfort zone etc.
Any way we pay termly to college £100 a term tutor orders flowers for us. Although i know he's struggling to get money in from some students!! |

Hi Guys, have just become member of this fascinating site. I am a floristry lecturer. I had my own shop for 10yrs and know how hard it is. At our college all practice flowers are provided but students buy their own flowers for assessments which they can then take home.
The problem for most colleges is that we are run on a very tight budget. It would be lovely to be able to provide flowers but it simply isn't possible, however students can buy flowers through our shop at cost price. I find that students are very uncaring with flowers that we provide with much finding it's way into the bin! Did you know that it may be possible to claim back some of your council tax if you are full time student? (13hrs per week) It is worth checking with your student welfare department. I find it hard to believe a lecturer would make an assessment based on the type of flower used, we mark on technique, I would only have an issue with quality of flower used. If I can be of help this is where you'll find me. |
