another way would to pool resources with other groups and swap flowers - agree to them getting one sort and you get another and then swap like amount of stems for like amount of stems.
just a thought and a way of getting different materials on a tight budget. post some pics when you do the display we have to do one soon for our course.

Its Pretty Much Same At Our College Low Budget Big Ideas, They Order For Us From Wholesaler However We Are Allowed To Source Material From Garden, Parks, Woods That Always Helps Specially With Foliage

i think i am on a different sort of course - because our college will allow us to ''borrow'' from the college flower studio (posh name for the flower shop??!!) and take it back after anything we want to enhance our displays. we can bring in bits and pieces from home pots books ect. whatever we think we look good in our window display. when we do our window display it will be in the college flower studio and we will have to maintain it for a week, in our pairs. there are only 7 of us in the group all together.
what college(s) do you go to and what sort of course is it your all doing? I'm at Solihull College doing a BTEC National Award Lv3 Floristry. i have to admit i am lucky that i get funding for materials and the course, so it only costs me my time, which is brilliant for my purse and my poor hubby who has to cope with me not doing anything at home because i'm always stuck to the computer doing my homework (90% of the time )
