It's not actually glittery, it's hand made paper thats got holey bits in, gives a good effect. Up closer it looks like a lace dress with a chiffon over thingy.

very effective. how long did it take you to make it?
i admit i'm jealous we don't have to do anything like that for a window display, it's good we don't have to pay for anything and the college give us everything we need (to an extent - basically if it's in the shop or storeroom we can use it) but becuase we are doing the display in the actual college shop window there is no room for anything like your dress

Pinklily, took about 2 hours to make, it wasn't our original design but once we started playing about we ended up with this with is much better. We didn't have to pay anything towards it or the £10 budget per person so not too bad. We were lucky to get the extra students £10 as she said she will be in next week, she will just have to make what we have decided as she hasn't been involved with any planning or dressmaking. We are doing a calla bq and a symmetrical arrangement, if the other student turns up next week she'll have to do a body adornment.

Pinkypink, I really enjoyed making this once I got stuck into it. You will be fine as long as the group you are in all agree!

Do you get to choose your group? I can see it being make or break if I have to work with certain members of the class... making a mess and breaking some rules!

No, no choice, our tutor jumbled us up into a bit of a mixed abilities kinda thing. There was only one person I was dreading getting in my group, thankfully it didn't happen, the group that got lumbered with her weren't to happy though

im at canterbury/ evaluations bloody joke & sketching drives me mad, yesterday we spent whole morn in libary, sry meant learning resources centre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doing c.v. even though most of us hav one already. all computers crashed so waste of morn. i do 2 days wk cost £750 4 yr. last yr was £475! big jump

We did the cv thing as well, complete waste of time, I completly lied my arse off. I think the government make the colleges include this shite into classes so that us imbeciles can get a job when we leave.

we did the cv thing and then had to do an assignment on appraisals and staff feed back and the importance of it. we also had to make a letter for a job application and say what we wanted from the owner of the shop if/when we got the job - er how do we tell the possible boss to be that we want a work enviroment that is up to and beyond H&S regs and we will not be signing out of the work time directive so won't be in to help condition the 4 ton of stock coming in for chrimbo ......etc.etc. what a waste of a day - now we are doing something useful - poisons and irratants - see this is the stuff we need to know
