Dare I say it...Supermarket flowers?? Horrible thought yet cheap...
In seriousness tho I guess you could just theme it around 1 type of lilac flower and dress it up in different ways using accessories and clever use of foliage?

That would be a help Chris but the college buy all the flowers from a wholesaler for us and the display is going up 18th March, Easter week
so expecting prices to be on the high side. Did think of pipping hyacinths but don't know what quantity you have to buy them in. What other nice lilac flowers are there (DONT want limonium) |

September Flower?
Gyp(would actually be nice in lilac for bridemaids and get loads for your money too!)? Lisianthus but prob not suitable... Hyacinths are sold in 50's usually and oddly enough am out of ideas...am sure there are more things in lilac...other than 'Lilac' which can be pricey and usually only sold in 10's (I think!)

Ugh lilac, poor you hahaha. Hyacinth come in 25s, I ordered lilac for MD and got the most fantastic chunky pale blue ones. What about tulips? They come in 50s and Purple Prince is normally cheap, often less than 20p a stem. Candy Prince is a yumtastic lilac one but can be expensive.

how on earth do they think you are to manage if you have to buy wraps of everything
, you're only going to be able to afford a couple of wraps of the same flower I expect. There aint much in lilac that you can buy in 10s, the only other thing I can think of is larkspur, bought 10 of them today but thats more purple. They cost me bout 35p I think. Hyacinths and tulips are a good idea as you can do different things with them, you could maybe use the heads of hyacinths and thread them in some way for bridesmaid design. The tulips as well are good as the stems are flexible to bend through mabye a frame of some sort for bridesmaid. As was mentioned earlier I think a good use of foliage is called for!
