de-thorn or not

I've always de thorned half way up, with a sharp florist knife, taking the below water level foliage with them!

With regards to tetanus, when i did my work experience from school i was made to have a tetanus booster as i was going to be working in a florist's, they told me i needed it every 10 years too, but of course not all customers will have had one......sounds scary about the guy falling in the rose bush!!!! Nasty!!!

Yep Flower that happened to our nearest neighbour got pricked when prunning his roses due to ongoing health problems by the time they had found out the real cause he was dead

My traniee told me that too about the tetanus, i think i need to go back training just to keep up..

thanks for that.. I went to barcelona to do a wedding last year and I went to the market to buy the flowers, OMG!!! if you touch one of their flowers they would ate the head of of you, put me right off..
