Here's some of my notes - most of it common sense:

Scissors - keep clean, keep sharp
Glue gun - let it cool before storing (that's more health/safety I think); protect the surface its being used on;keep away from water
Wires - keep dry to avoid rusting, store upright in jars for easy access
Tapes - keep dry, dust free
Foam - store in cool, dry place. Browns after a while and may not soak water as well. Don't store high up (H/s)
String/florist twine - store in water tight container

Also detailed in my college work was, always keep floor clean, dry and free from mess (yeah right!!!! )
Keep work surfaces disinfected regularly.
Keep hazardous substances/chemicals stored appropriately.
Keep tools sharp and dry after use to avoid rust.

Most of this is health and safety kinda stuff but i hope it helps
