Showing her artistic flair, what she can do, working outside the box........???? We all like to make something different.....but hopefully there was some bread and butter work in her portfolio too.

Modern design is all very well but can she drop a handtie to talk to a regular old girl on the way to her hubbys grave like she's the most important person in the world whilst wrapping a bunch of spray cars and taking a phone order eh? Eh?

In 2006/7 I studied level 2 C&G Floristry, and since September last year have been on the BTEC Level 3. Blurb from the college states that the course is split 50/50 for both theory and practical. In reality the course is split 75/25 (the greater part being THEORY!!). We finish in six weeks time and are now only just onto bridal bouquets. There is loads of repetition in the theory work, only some of it is a bit more in depth than last year.

In my opinion, if you have to fund the course yourself, DON'T waste your money. Spend it wisely on doing day courses on practical skills which really interest you.

I'm just about to finish my City & Guilds Level 2 it wasn't until i started the course i found out employers don't like students i'm not sure if i want to carry on once i've finished level 2. No point in learning a skill that i'm very unlikely to use
