I need a bit of inspiration

Hi all, am back to college in a couple of weeks; we'll be concentrating on wedding work this final term.

Our 1st lesson back is to produce a handtied brides bq made up of just one type of flower - but not roses! I did a freelance job using freesias (in the gallery) so don't really want to do that again

Its also to link with a basket arrangement for a young bridesmaid

Any suggestions of what works well would be welcomed - thanks

Hey there can you use other stuff in the bq or just flowers? Im thinking of a bq I saw in a magazine - it was just white callas with lovly feathers around it and some looped beargrass with pearls threaded onto it - was really simple and elegant but it cought my eye

SFD - Yes, we can use grasses, foliage, accessories etc - the only criteria is 1 type of flower and not to be roses.

Apple - had thought of tulips, so may go this route

Thanks

I love tulip hand ties, yummy, you can get a nice shape. Twiggy bits with tulips is nice and Ive done a few with sisal over the hand tied, I know that doesnt sound nice but it made it look romanticy and weddingyfied, not too much mind, just enough so you can still see all the lovely tulips, you put in on before the outer leaves or whatever you are putting round the edge and pot tape it where you have tied it, just an idea
