A friend of mine looked into it recently from Bishop Burton...I think doing it via the normal teaching certificate is v tricky...but I think there are other options...

I wanted to do the degree at BB after id finished my NVQ2, but they wouldnt let me due to entry requirements....at bishop burton, they'll let you do degree at 25, not knowing a gerb from a daff, but they wanted me to do NVQ3(a discontinued course there i heard) despite me having so much experience

I spoke to Hull College about it today. Im not sure of the course name but i'll find out soon.

Think even though my entry requirements let me down, i have enough experience via having my own shop haha id laugh if they denied me!

To be quite honest, am just about to finish the degree in a couple of weeks...and I have to say I think you did the best thing doing NVQ....I think at BB they still need to sort out a few wrinkles in the course, I know my year have not been happy over the past couple of years hence why we are now down to 4 people graduating this year!

Just like the nvq2. Started off with around 20, 4 actually finished the course. Its because its backwards, learning things you never actually do i.e.basquette!?! Never done one of those since college!

Im supprised you say that, i thought the degree would be v.good with it being new! What sort of pieces do you learn on degree? How much did it cost? My apprenticeship was free due to my age, so was business course.

I might qualify for funding to do teacher training because my dads been made redundant and my mum helps me out without pay so low income. oh and my business cant pay me yet lol!

Well I don't even know what a 'basquette' is!

Its mainly based around running your own floristry business and even designs.

You do some art, photoshop, business, law, botany...its a bit academic for a design based subject, but then it has to be in order for it to be a BA (Hons)
