Two main routes - college or on the job training or a bit of both. On the job training hard to finds as most employers want some experience so college is a good place to start -to see if it really is your thing first and the City & Guilds Level 2 qualification is the place to start.
Best place for some background info is the Society of Floristry website www.societyoffloristy.org As for training in your area best googling for floristry courses south london. There are loads of private courses but colleges generally cheaper. |

Hi, do you want to study full or part time?
I'm studying part time in Lewisham (City and Guilds) - my college is running an intensive City and Guilds level 1 course this summer. Where abouts are you? ![]()

Hi Zoe, the college is CEL which is Community Education Lewisham - its an adult education college. The site I study at is at Granville Park - right by Lewisham Station. Think there's also a site at Grove Park (different tutor tho). Its a City and Guilds course - so its a recognised certificate! The level 1 intensive is a year's course being run over a few weeks, so that would take commitment- otherwise its 20 weeks over the course of a year starting September.
