Hi I am entering a competition as some of you may know & its my first one. So I was wondering what to expect, what will the judge be looking for, etc? or any general advice on comps?

Hi Emma, I've only entered one comp. myself but believe what the judges are looking for includes:

- correct interpretation of the brief / schedule (size, use of materials and accessories, suitable for intended use)
- incorporation of design principles
- well conditioned materials

amongst other things......

Hi,

Thanks. I have made a practice one ( with dead flowers lol ) . The comp is for a modern buttonhole.What do you think? any advice.
