In 2 weeks we are doing a large garden planted design of our own choice
Help
I would really like to do some long lasting plants that will flower in Claret (Burgundy) and Blue.
The pot is quite large about 2ft square and 18 inches deep. I have no idea about plants but know I would like the finished product to be in the Aston Villa footbal team colours (I have my reasons)
Perenials - would be good - so i don't have to keep replanting it or trying to find replacements and hopefully something that will cover the top cos we have a house full of cats (nuff said)
Can any one give me any ideas plz something that is available now but not necessary flowering now.
thanks

Hello, i don't want to be the bearer of bad news but black calas are not very hardy and would need to be lifted in the autumn... they are lovely but can be a pain to grow!!! Sorry its the practical gardener in me!!!

thanks for the advice - i have already bought the black calas (from amdesterdam -----shhhhhhhh don't tell mr customs )
i am putting the pots when planted i a sheltered pergular (can't spell that) but will remeber to bring them inside when the weather changes
i've also got the blue i bought some Lithodora ''heavenly blue'' which i thought was appropriate for what we were using them for.
just got to get the claret (burgundy)

Probably a silly question but is it for indoors or outdoors - ie are you doing a school project for your corporate element?

the pots are going outside in the garden of my home
the reasons for the colours are
black - favorite colour
claret/blue - Aston Villa football club

the pots are going to be inside a pergular which as trelis sides so although sheltered a little it will not be completely closed in
thanks for all your help
