There are different varieties, i use to sell loads of them and yes, if i remember right it was Forest Flame that was red, some of the others where just green. I wouldn't promise anyone that they'll turn red else they'll dig them up next year and bring them back

Forest Flame I think is the one I have in my garden...will try and take a pic and put it in my album. But yes the new growth is red and lower down the leaves are green.

thanks for your help everyone, Ive sold most of them now, plants going like hotcakes at the mo, anyway 2 people asked if they will go red so I covered myself by saying, probably not as this is not as common as the bright red one, it may go pinkish but not bright red. I have said this cause most of the new growth is green but some leaves have a pinkish tinge...... so if anything I'll expect them back next year with a bright red plant, really dont think they are red flame though, Ive had them before, and if I get them next week, I will be saying this is the most popular variety

Oh just wanted to say got some cornflower plants in this week and I dont reccommend them, they have gone old looking very quickly

take your cornflowers home and plant them somewhere where you'll forget about them! Then next year you'll be surprised at when they come up! (did this with papaver orientalis...I was surprised when they came up this year and now have gorgeous red poppies across the street growing happily in the ditch!!)
