Pieris
I got some pieris plants that are really nice but they are all green, does anybody know if they will get red if they are in the sun or something or is there an all green variety, has no ticket in it and I dont know what variety they are, thanks

hi apple, some pieris revert back to the natural strain I have heard, but there are a few varieties my nana had pieris forest flame and well yup that had red on it and I have seen a green and white one... i did notice on my nana's that the under neath foliage tended to be all dark green.

Hi apple, the red on the peris is the new seasons growth.. Some peris have brighter new growth... the red growth will turn green during season. Hope that helps.

yes.. I have just double checked one of my books to make sure that i am not talking total rubbish!!!
 were the plants just labled as pieris??

, they havent even got a ticket in saying they are pieris but I know they are and I remember buying them, thats what I get for buying the cheap version

Oh well at least you knew what they were!!!
I,ve had plants turning up at my nursery this spring, the lorry driver managed to un load them in a random manner and muddle them up!!. Only one lable per batch and most of the plants had not really started to grow!!! was on my hand knees trying to match them back up so they could be planted in the correct place!!
