Question Good Flowers for Wrist Corsages

Hi Guys

Can anyone offer advice as to which flowers work particularly well for wrist corsages? I need to make some modern ones for a wedding so am thinking of one large flower plus some leaves and sparkly bits rather than a 'traditional' corsage. Am guessing it will need to be quite a large flat flower e.g phalenopsis orchid or similar to work well and will need to last well . Which flowers do you recommend?

I like using mini gerbs, foliage, add a bit of wire and bling

Singapore Orchids work really well, they are small, but you can use a few to get the size you need.

Question Thanks

Thanks guys fr the suggestins. Re the gerberas, I will be using the OASIS pearly bracelet thingies, would you wire the gerbs as normal, add the leaves and bling and tape it all together, then lay the wires across the little plastic square and attach with glue and the ribbons and then fold the whole thing back 180 degrees ? Boy it's difficult to explain practical things when yu are typing!

Wrist Corsages

Hi S

Yes I do the same with the wrist corsages that have the little metal plate with the four prongs but OASIS have gone and changed the design and now it's a clear plastic plate with tiny holes in and two pieces of ribbon threaded through - help!

Wrist Corsages

Hi Joe Flo

Thanks for that, I had just got the hang of the metal ones and had them sussed so they were nice and secure and now they are all plastic. Instructions on the packet would have been nice ! I'm worried that they don't seem as secure as the metal ones. Do you just glue the corsage straight nto the plastic plate and then tie the ribbon up around it afterwards? Am worried the glue won't hold on the plastic. Sorry but i am a bit of a worrier when it comes to these things.
