Have to say, that any work I have undertaken (not much - 2 weddings and a couple of arrangements) has been done at market rate and not undercutting a local florist. I would never do that, I believe in fair competition.
I also wouldn't take on something I knew I couldn't deliver professionally - hope that sets the record straight. Obviously can't speak for other people who take on work from home, but lets give everyone a chance on here unless they prove us otherwise ![]()

Lots of people work from home I really don't see your point. I don't see your reason for having a go at me either ! I'm not making money off your back! i have a long term sick husband 4 kids and having to pay for my own course , Flowers etc out of what little money i have.So i'm losing not gaining!

Just out of interest Mad moooer, with the bits of work your earning from, do you pay your taxes on?? Us florists who have shops and employ staff, pay Business rates ,Electric,Liability insurance, and then there people talking about earning from home, going to the funeral directors with photos, and going into the local business, surely you can understand why now?of course its taking work from the local florist, we have it hard enough, with out being undercut by people who work from home, sorry but thats my opinion, its not just the owners who suffers its there hard working staff, who will be out of work when the florists shuts!!

Errrrmmm i've never done any work for anyone I've only been studying a few months and i would much rather work for someone who i can learn from plus i will never have the money to go out on my own I was just pointing out that it's unfair to jump on someone when they ask advice that's all. I haven't gone looking for an work yet as i seems students are not wanted. As i said i'm not gaining anything! i give everything i make at college away to my family. Spending £20+ on flowers each week does my pocket no good. As i said before i'm losing out I know full well what it's like to be out of work because i am!
