To start up from home

Hey there flower people!

I am thinking about starting up my own flower business at home. Would still be working fulltime in a florist but wanted to start something for myself, I started with a Saturday job when I was 11 Years old in a little florist in Holland ( I am Dutch ;o) ) I am 25 now and well I think I have enough expirience. I worked in Holland, England, Scotland and Bermuda and seen my fair share of florists. But to start at home I have no clue where to begin! it seems all so much Anyways I would love to get some feedback on do's and dont's from all of you My biggest concern is the legal aspect of it. I actually did sign up with business gateway and was about to go to some seminars but at the last minute I chickened out. (this was like 9 months ago ) But now I think it's time to actually DO IT

Anyways thank you for reading my little post and any feedback would be most welcome!!

Henk.

Hey! I am fairly new too, and took over a shop in November... although it's slightly different to what you are doing, I would totally recommend you get back in touch with Biz Gateway. The guy we saw when we were about to set up was soooo helpful, even gave us his home number in case of emergencies! He went though everything from the partnership agreement, to borrowing money. Don;t know if you knew, but they can also help you source grants... we tried for this, but we were too old!!!! Good luck!!!
