Public Liabilty Insurance
Hi to you all.
I am doing some wedding fairs and need to have some insurance. I have noticed on another post that some of you have insurance. Would be grateful for some advice. What do i need to be covered for ? Which company do you all use ? Approx cost per year ? Thanks Lorraine

Mine's with MMA Insurance - the policy is called Master Tradesman Plus and am covered for £1m Public Liability. They told me I had to insure for damage to goods in transit through my car insurance - annoying as I wanted insurance for the floristry work all in one place.
Have a look in FWB - insurers advertise there, although mainly for retail premises rather than homeworkers.

Lorraine I used to be with Jewell - they sold out to another company due to ill health but its a brilliant policy - about £300 per year and covers absolutely everything. Bear with me and I will dig out details of new company and post later tonight.

OK sorry for the delay but heres the details. The insurer is Allianz and the broker is Woodhouse - their number is oops forgot I can't do that,. Will pm you with details.

Im a member of the BFA and they have discount deals for insurances for members and non members (think its through Bridge?)
Anyway seen they have just started doing a freelance policy and for those that are lucky enough to have retail premises! Worth being a BFA member anywoo!

Hi there
 , I've got a freelance policy that I set up with AXA through Business Insurance and Commercial Finance - Simply Business. It's a small business policy, and basically gives me public liability insurance but there are lots of other options you can add too if you want them. Cost me just under £60 for the year. George
