my uncle is scottish apple and he used to say how instead of why and it just used to crack us up laughing cause the conversation would go on for ages, i love the scottish - loads of character!! Not afraid to have fun Had hogmany up there once - really good, bladdered though!!

i am an english speaking scot(lived in england since i was 5)as a child we called pop ginger at home and butties pieces. My kids are now bi-lingualthey use scots words at grannys and english at home
