And have a great holiday But don't do what I did. My Mum had bought me my first bikini and although I wasn't a rolly poly dumpling in those days, I was still shy about wearing it. On a glorious morning that was as warm as the South of France, but nice and quiet down at the beach Mum persuaded me to wear my bikini. I even got up the courage to have a splash around in the sea. Coming back to my towel, I lay down to let the sun dry me off. What we didnt know was that the RAF had decided to have some kind of manoeuvre that day, and a couple of their helicopters landed on the beach not too far away from us It is amazing how much sand flies around and what a distance it flies when helicopters land. It is also amazing how this flying sand sticks to wet skin. I looked like a sand castle! There was no option but to run past the helicopter crews down to the sea to get all the sand off me oh how I had wished that I was wearing a Victorian bathing dress that day. ![]() ![]()

Snap I gave up a VERY well paid PART TIME job with great perks to start up a flower shop.................ditto long hours no money etc etc but it is worth every moment as I have my sanity back (well sort of ??????) I have still snuck away on 2 holidays since last year.................just after Xmas is a good time to shut. |
