Havent been around that much recently due to work

been a bit busy for some reason

Hope everybody had a busy Xmas, and wishing you all a succesful & prosperous 2007.

Its now a couple of boring weeks ahead, and then its everybodys favourite VALENTINE !!!

Hope you had a good one. Unfortunately its back to work. Last week no traffic jams on Monday. Today 75 at one point with the longest 25km

Regarding Valentines, havent heard anything yet from my growers, but its not looking very promising !!!

Heard one quote from another exporter, which would mean the wholesaler having to ask 1.55/1.60 for 70cm.

you lot on the mainland are lucky here in Ireland with extra delivery we usually end up having to charge £2.50 £3. for a decent red rose Our 12 roses can be anywhere from £60 for a good long stem rose Rach

Hi All,

Me Monday Dutch man is quoting 1.20 (ex vat) for 70cm passion rose, can't remember what the others were off hand but can let you know if interested. I have a couple of other dutch deliveries but they haven't got any prices yet - am waiting in anticipation or should that be with trepidation

If your Dutchman is quoting 1.20, I would definitely go with him (If you know the quality is good)

The price is well below the market value. One of my clients that buys over 20,000 red roses each year has been quoted 1.18-1.35 depending on the grower.

If you know quantities, I wouldnt hesitate too much with ordering.

Morning Gringo,
Prices are:- passion 80cm 1.35, g/prix 1.75, b/bac 1.75, torero 1.25, el torro 1.25, calypso .65 & .75. Just noticed if I order before 31 Jan I get an extra 5% discount, do you think they are off the back of a lorry?! His quality is usually good but I have to watch him at busy times cos he has a habit of slipping in extra wraps!!

Hi Breezy.

I have just started another thread on Valentines day. Might be worth posting this info on that thread. Prices are very keen IMHO. (especially with 5% discount)
