Hi
Have been approached by a friend, has daughter who wants to work in a florist, she asked if I took on apprentices. when I started in 1980 I worked in shop for 4 days and did 1 day at college a week, I had heard that the government pay towards their wages, has anyone heard of schemes like this, At the moment I have a job placement from college who does 4 hours per week here. Thanks

a friend of mine got into floristry on tony blairs new deal system, she saw the job with training advertised in the jobcentre and went for the interview, as far as i know the government subsidised the wages for 6 months, she also worked 4 days per week and a day at college, i would look into it further maybe phone a jobcentre plus and see if they do it, i think the government like it when people train and earn at the same time, as long as the apprentice is under 24 i think the training is free also, definately worth a go
