we used to get cotton thread it though all the letter boxes cos they had the knocker on it too the cotton used to zigzag across the road - when a car drove down the road all the cotton pulled and snapped knocking all the doors.
we used to tie all our tights together to make a loop and playing i'm sure it was french skipping two people had the loop stretched out and a third did tricks and twists and jumps in the middle then it moved to calves then to knees and then to thighs and bums etc. god i was fitter then (pass the ciggies) ![]()

just thought of another naughty one - grand national, the front of our houses had small gardens and fairly low fences so someone would start at one end of the row and jump all the fences going through each garden and see if they could get to the end without being caught by an old wifey

Living on a farm in the country with only 2 brothers for company when the toys from xmas were broken we made bows and arrows with sally rods (soft bendy branches from the trees) and baler twine played cowboys and indians ususally when excercising the ponies so it was more fun or hide and seek in the plantation or quarry. At school the Waves of Troy Farmer wants a wife hop scotch and of course behind the bike shed as we grew older

anyone remember lolo balls?? twas a football with a ring squeezed over it that you stood on and bounced - it looked like saturn! i always liked building things - like dens and treehouses - was a bit of a tomboy - had a lovly train set too, the train was metal+had a little light and steam would puff out - probably worth a fortune if I still had it!
