'Established' is rather a loose term these days and doesn't really count for much. You can be in business for 20 years and then start doing something wrong, upset a few people, not keep up with things and all of a sudden...you're yesterday's news.
The new kid on the block can open up with a big smile and hey presto..everybody loves them..day 2 arrives and ..they're 'established' The loyalty thing doesn't really exist anymore. Customers will walk if you give them a reason to, or more to the point if you don't give them a reason to stay. Just like footballers..you're judged by yesterday's goals....everything else is history.
