Hopefully this is an end to the negativity on here! I have to admit that I've not posted nearly as much recently (with over 2000 posts, I've had a lot to say in the past!) and plan to post more in the future into the threads that I can contribute to / have an opinion on.

I'm looking at this as a bit of a spring clean and that new life will be breathed into the forum and those who have been destructive either change their ways or go into hibernation

This needed to be said.

It seems this forum had become a bit like a Kindergarten with a few posters taking up positions as the "Bullies"

There is a huge difference between being "funny" and just plain RUDE.

We are all supposedly "floral professionals" and honestly the way some of the members carry on - well, it dosn't say much for how their businesses are run.

It is great that we have somewhere that we can discuss issues pertaining to our industry with a little fun on the way - but not to the expense of others. If you don't like the content of a Thread - Move on - there is no need for sarcastic comments or remarks.

I think also that what we have to remember is that it hard to come accross as the "real" people that we are when we are only typing our thoughts in written word. This action does not even come close to being able to express ourselves as we would in person. What also needs to be reminded is that we are all Human - we have thoughts, opinions and FEELINGS.

I know that I havn't been much of an active poster ( the totally different time zones may have something to do with this) but, I do hope that I can contrubute in the future.

Hopefully "Florist News" can now become "The online Discussion Forum for Florists"

I am so pleased this issue has come to a head!

Just for the record the comments don’t faze me one tiny bit ..... I have dealt with them eloquently in the past and by doing so this time have shown them up for what they are!

There have been loads of threads recently trying to encourage new users and non- posters to contribute ...........

I couldn't agree more! I too hadn't posted as much either because of the 'playground' stuff.

Interesting how human nature can be very brave when annonymous. Face to face things would soooo very different.

Nice the subject has been brought to light, think it will make a big difference.
We all have opinions and views and should all be allowed to relay them or ask for advice without fear of being put down for this!!!

Sorry but i have to say... reading your post it seems u have been bullied/victimised BUT as far as I know treen it has only been the one post that SOME people dont agree with.. (unless you know diff, if so then im sorry)

There is a big difference between a conflict of opinion, which is healthy and richens any debate/discussion. It's the ones with no content, simple rudeness and non-constructive abuse which are unacceptable and pointless.

I'm the first one to love a bit of a wind up and a good banter and will admit I have encouraged people to wind others up a bit in the past, but FBA I think your last comment to Treen is uncalled for, She took anything that was thrown at her on the chin and in no way made a victim of herself, Where in her post that you've quoted does it say anything about her feeling bullied or victimised?

Admin has warned us all in this thread and then you go and put that in the same thread, you must be trying to get banned!

As jm i like a bit of a wind up and yes i did take things a bit to far, which i apologise Treen,but can i make this official, i am not a bully and in no way did i bully treen.
