For gold you are probably best using Sphinx gold or Riverdale. Sphinx gold is a true gold, riverdale more old gold. There are obviously other varieties, but considering that you will need them off the Wednesday 27th December auction, these will defintely be available from your supplier. Paul. |

Bouvardia
Hi Gringo, nice to meet you! Got a wedding in July and making a handtie of just a mass of white bouvardia. Not that familia with it. Tricky question but how soon should I buy it so it opens up nicely? Also i see that it has special food so perhaps its sensitive? regards

quite often buy bouvardia and don't really give it any special treatment. Don't use the special food, although i know it would probably last longer if i did, but stands easily for a week and more so long as it's good when you buy it. Leave it too long to get a full show of colour and there is a danger that some of the buds will collapse, so i'd tend to use it on the 'safe' side of openness. As soon as you see one of the heads dropping, you haven't got that much time left for wedding quality work.

yes they are usally i had fab red/green hydrangeas in my bouquet in early sept also did a wedding in end of augs got fantastic whitey green ones for that even though i'd asked for white but as i knew green was in the wedding that was even better but think i would have cried if it was supposed to be pure white
