Hiya!
I would have thought a pretty long time. Try to keep it damp. Poke some holes in the bag and use an atomiser, this will dampen it without making it soaking and ensure it doesn't go mouldy.

Another tip is if it goes completely dry pour boiling hot water over it...this will 're-activate' it again...good tip I learned when reviving some moss 'teddy bears' that had completely dried out...they now look as green as fresh moss
