ARALIA / FATSIA LEAVES Have B.O !

Has anyone else had aralia leaves that smell of B.O ? We had some in yesterday and they stink like a smelly old man has rubbed them in his armpits ! Groce !
Have had fatsia leaves that also smelt of B.O before.
Think they must be coated in something. Any ideas ? anyone else experienced this?
