Thumbs up need help in designing my workroom!

Can anyone give any advice please? I'm a self employed wedding florist who works from home. I have a smallish workroom which is due to be revamped to accommodate my flowers. Can anyone suggest what I would need - have thought about cold storage but dont know if this is neccessary although during the hot weather with weddings it probably would be useful.

Also what sort of storage could I use for vases, sundries etc and should I have a worktop/station or table??

Aargh!! Please help! Any advice would be really useful thanks!

Large deep worktop..think about your longest stems and how you are going to lay them out. My biggest problem was in doing large coffin sprays and having space to work around it. Most times i'd use a dutch riser bucket with board on top, but you still need the space to be able to move round it. Smaller sprays i'd always use a turntable, but then you need the depth to be able to swing it round. If you're making up things, you need space to lay everything out. Your storage can be underneath or in wall units. Most other things you can sort out as you go along and do whatever works for you.

Try cheap kitchen units back to back...benefit is that they have heavy duty work tops that can afford being punished and also added benefit is that they have drawers and cupboards in them. May be able to pick some up chaep from ex-display units...have a search around...maybe even try the "Free cycle" website, may be lucky enough that someone is getting rid of some for free and all you may have to do is pick them up!
