Gardening section
Admin, I can't remember where or by who (half a brain and I'd be dangerous) but someone mentioned a gardening section. Would that be possible. Because I'm a florist and because this is a craft centre, husbands are left twiddling their fingers whilst their wives "craft". Most of them gravitate to my shop and start talking about their gardens. They presume I am a font of knowledge (if only they knew the truth
) It would be great to have a section on gardening where we could all pick up hints and tips.Thanks.

So to prove to Admin that it's a serious request my first tip is. How to keep slugs off plants. My dad always put saucers of beer (not lager) out for them. He would push the saucers down so they where level with the soil. The slugs would smell the sweet beer and next morning there would be lots of dead slugs in the saucers. I hate the idea of killing the slugs,(God's creatures after all) but at least it was a nice way to go - in a drunken stupor ![]()
