So I scoured the net for a german gardeners forum to join to keep up my german writing

and found one...ugh!!! The comment I heard on Skynews a while back about Germans being loggerheads and too tight is soooooo true! I signed into the forum and wrote a quick little post to introduce myself. I thought 'this could be fun!'...ugh!!! I wrote in german, of course, that the members must excuse my "scheiß" german grammer and spelling because I can't write german as well as I can speak it and VERY promptly I get a private message back (took all of 2 minutes!) explaining to me that although they were happy to include me in the forum it would be welcome that I not use "bad words".......?
The word "scheiß"...I'm sure you all know what it means!!!...is not really a "bad" word, its said many a time in everyday language...ok...we say it in the shop quite a bit and no one seems to mind!No on has gone running out of the shop yelling to the people that we were "bad word" folks!!! It all has to be used in context of course, but I can't believe they are THAT uptight about it!!
Anyway, I pm-ed back that I apologize if "they" think I used a bad word and I would try and be a bit 'nicer'

Again a pm back that the mods check EVERY thread and post and have the right to delete any words or sentances and even change the context of a post and also that the forum was only for "serious" people who enjoy gardening .......ummm...I TOTALLY agree that a forum has to be keep on a certain level and that everyone should play nice (or try to!!) but COME ON!!! They don't even know me!! What happened to freedom of speech and all that crap? One "bad word" and I now have 10 minus points on my profile!! I am allowed 30 and after I have 30 I will be banned for a month....
I will now boycott that forum..too bad cuz I really wanted to better my german writing skills and have some fun in the garden forum...

What does all this mean for you? YOU'RE STUCK WITH ME!!!!I can't promise I won't say any "bad" words, but can I stay with you crazy bunch anyway?

go and post a really rude word in the biggest letters you can and run away.

Ooo can you do attatchments too? I have some fabulous piccies of rude fruit and veg on my shop puter, chillie willies, pear bums and melon boobies.

That'll teach 'em!

HAHAHA!!! ..and that is EXACTLY why I'm staying here!!!!! Send me some pics Jo! I wanna shock them!!!!! I think they would probably DIE if they read the stuff that goes on here!!!
And yes Nep..not all but alot of germans are prude!! My opinion? There's alot of talk and no action! I read some of the other threads and posts and they are all cute-sy with other calling each other dear and sweets and blah blah!! I KNOW that some of you say 'hun' and 'lovey'(hi MM!!

) but thats just the way you talk. (making sense?) It seems like on the "other" forum everyone just wants to be polite and be liked by everyone! I wonder if anyone has told them that there are different kinds of people on this planet with different opinions and views...some of who/what we like and some not!!!! GROW UP!!!

oooooooo and they don't have the cool smilies we have here!!! They have dorky gardener cartoons that have either a sunflower in their hand if they're happy or its raining on them if they're sad....what are we...in kindergarden?!
