You have just depressed me deeply i wish i had that sort of turn over but live in a small town, doing enough to keep me and two staff going some days though its very qt...

I know the feeling couldn't believe when I started after xmas thought it was just busy the first few days but it carried on like that there is 2 full timers I am part time and husband and wife owners most so 4 days 4 working and 3 days 5 working and it is all go all the time we get our breaks but there is no nipping out the back for a quick fag in between there is just not the time

May she wants a job down south she could increase my business god know i could do with it... how was easter for everyone?

tina my easter was pathetic, must have had 2 or 3 handtieds which were actually for easter - didnt even sell all my daffs. I dont rant about sm much but i do think they take easter small bunch trade from us. ps my shop is not massive either and if i had 30 to 40 ht to do every day i would think i was in florist heaven.

Tina not the only one in town but they obviously have built up a good reputation don't do a lot of weddings I am there since Jan and there have only been 2 but the daily business is good Easter Sat we had 40 cheapie bouquets made for outside and had to start at 3pm to make another 20 only had 5 left when we left at 6pm which was a surprise for me didn't think easter would have been as big.

Snowdrops information did depress me a little (A lot) yesterday, when I hear things like that i tend to question myself and my business and how to improve it, but the population of my town is only 4000 people and there are now three florist in the town its sometimes tight but at the end of the day i bought the building im in so no rent thankgod, and i can always pay my bills and my staff, im usually left with the scrapings at the end of the bowl.

Im suprized you dont do a lot of weddings,, thats my biggest business when you say not many ..how many is not many.. i hope im not digging myself a hole here.

Tina I started in Jan and there have only been 2 weddings to date 2 weddings in June 1 July and 1 August those are definate bookings. Last shop I was in was really quiet and we had 40 weddings in our first year so lack of weddings surprises me but then I suppose you can't have it bothways.
Today both owners were literally tearing their hair out because there was only 3 deliveries and 4 pick ups normally they would have maybe 20 orders in advance for the week this week there are no advance orders and they were both worried sorry but I had a little laugh to myself am thinking wish I had few bob for every day we were like that in last shop I was in
